Hello everyone,
This is to see if there is any interest in doing another Alan Furs protest this Saturday. I realize a lot of people have Valentine's Day plans, but we had such a great turn out last weekend, we don't want to just disappear from sight. Alan Furs is feeling the pressure, especially after the great turn out last weekend. If you would like to have a V-day protest, please respond back to this email as quickly as possible.

We'd also like to remind people of our Animal Rights protest etiquette. It is the firm belief as a group that we do not, under any circumstances, display hostility, vulgar gestures, confrontation or bullying in retaliation, frustration or for any reason whatsoever. These actions only affirm people's perceptions of animal rights protesters and allow for police action. I know it is very difficult when an agitator tries to provoke you, people flip us off, and we witness people buying fur coats. But it is imperative that we rise above it by being polite, educate, wave to passersby, and maintain a cool demeanor. You need to be kind for the animals so that people will listen to us. If you cannot abide by these rules, please do not attend the protests.

With that said, we do thank you for giving up an hour and a half of your Saturday to give a voice to the animals. Most people do not understand that this takes courage, compassion and commitment to achieve the successful protests we have had thus far. Let's continue our solidarity this Saturday and especially for Ringling!
